Five years is a long time and yet, it feels like it went really fast. Five years ago is when I had just come back from spending more than three years in Australia. I was still settling back, getting reacquainted with my surroundings (Ireland had changed so much during the time we were gone).
Crème de Citron was a blog project I had started to think about before leaving Australia (I had already bought the domain but was yet to properly get into it). So, one day, I cooked a recipe and posted it with a story and that is how it all began. Since then, I have posted about 90 more recipes and many other stories.
In the past five years, a lot happened: I moved to three different places (I have become really good at getting rid of things and packing!), I got engaged and married, I traveled quite a bit (USA, Japan, Australia and different European locations), I experienced grieving, I looked after my mental health when needed (and took little blog breaks when this happened), I made friends, I cooked for loved ones and I took a whole lot of photos.
And five years later, I love seeing this little blog still standing proud, filled with delicious things, travel memories and stories that I like telling.
Thank you so much my dear readers for being part of this little blog adventure! Knowing that my various blog posts are read, liked and shared on different platforms is really one of the things that motivates me to create more content here. Here is to the next 5 years for Crème de Citron! And of course, I had to have delicious lemon tartlets for the occasion.
And to celebrate this blogiversary, I have a delicious giveaway competition below:
