It looks like the past few weeks have been a bit quiet on the blog side of things. Well, for one good reason: I have been sick for the past two weeks and I am now on the recovery phase week. That means I can smell again!! Yes, I lost my sense of smell on my birthday and spent the following few days just guessing that what I was eating or drinking was tasty.
And let me tell you that going out for your birthday to a place that serves fabulous cocktails can be quite challenging when you are sick. Mostly, by going out I actually mean I dragged myself there.
Well, for my birthday, my French foodie friend gave me the most delicate and beautiful box of macarons. I waited a couple of days to eat them so I could actually taste the flavours. And they were de-li-cious! But most of all, one was a lemon cream macaron, how appropriate and exquisite!
So, since I was not able to cook much and was trying to stay warm to get back on my feet soon, I occupied myself with quite a bit of photography. Well, as you may know, photography is actually my job so it was great getting that bit of activity to recover.
It was quite dull outside but the overcast sky gave me some beautiful light to work with, I love the way it diffuses it.
Then, I was able to edit my images and put them for sale on what I call my little virtual print shop. It made me feel so much better to do something I love.
And you, what brings you back to life when you are sick and do not feel like doing much (do not feel or are not able to)?
The second thing is that the Franco-Australian business I did some photography work for launched its website this week, so you can see more of my photography on it too, it is called Europe In a Box.
