Another day, another challah bread. Two years ago, I decided to make a challah bread crown filled with spiced pear and chocolate in lieu of the traditional galette des rois (King's cake) we have in France for the day of Epiphany.  Later that year, I made more challah bread, this time filled with cashew butter and blackberry jam.
The thing is I really love challah bread. It makes for a wonderful breakfast, toasted and spread with butter and jam. I might also grab a slice for an afternoon snack if there is a fresh loaf in the kitchen.

The definition of resolution reads in my dictionary as "a firm decision to do or not to do something".
On a personal level, I feel that a resolution is a bit too strict and can be disappointing if I do not achieve it by the end of the year (sometimes because I have stopped in my track within one week...).

Instead, I decided to give myself goals. They might not all be finished by the end of 2017 but I plan to do things that lead to eventually completing them over the years. Some will be easily done this year, some will take a little longer because they require learning new skills, practising and maybe studying for example.
I feel less pressure but also more excitement because I know a lot of those goals lead to good things on the long term.
The point of this post is not to list my future goals because I would rather keep those private for now but if one or a few of them come to completion and lead to something exciting during 2017, I will probably mention it here or on Instagram.

As for 2016 goals? Yes I did achieve quite a few and I am proud of it.
