What I really wanted was something small and perfectly delicious to accompany my daily cups of jasmine green tea.
So, I came up with these little chocolate and fleur de sel crème fraîche biscuits and they are just lovely, not overly sweet at all.
Click HERE for the recipe Chocolate. Fleur de sel. Two ingredients I love and that go together well. You may have noticed I love a lot of different ingredients, but I am particularly fond of a rich chocolate flavour. I feel like salt in general really brings something amazing out of dark chocolate. I was keen to combine these flavours but also did not want to over indulge in something really sweet and rich (I am not saying I don't like this, I could easily get a nice slice of dark rich chocolate brownie and never share it with anyone because why would I?!).

Crème de Citron has been on a little holiday break while I am busy editing a lot of beautiful wedding photos for my various clients. I have a few delicious recipes planned to photograph and share, so stay tuned!
In the meantime, I thought I would tell you a bit about a food photo shoot I did in London last March. I was hired by Caroline of new company Yvonne & Guite to style and photograph her delicious canelés. Caroline actually got in touch with me in Spring last year. She was browsing this little blog and when reading my 'About' page, she recognised me from high school. We sat together in art classes then during our last three years before college. And all along our Skype conversations while Caroline was telling me about her food business project, we shared stories of our childhoods in separate towns and somehow realised we had been on a school ski trip together (our two schools went together). And when I used to play basketball it looks like our teams played matches against each other (so we met then without knowing it). So many coincidences! And as luck would have it, we ended up working together on her business images. |
