Derry City Guide - Walled City
For our first weekend away this year, we decided to explore a bit more of Northern Ireland.
We moved to Belfast less than a year ago but apart from discovering this beautiful city, we have not taken many trips around Northern Ireland yet (we did visit the Causeway coast nearly 5 years ago but that’s about it).

We had both our birthdays to celebrate and since we aim for non material gifts, we decided to go and visit Derry/Londonderry over a short weekend for the occasion.

Visiting Northern Ireland: Belfast Botanic Gardens

Belfast City Guide - Botanic Gardens
Today's post is just a little photography walk of the Belfast Botanic Gardens, and more particularly inside the Palm House and Tropical Ravine.
All images taken from a slow day when I needed some fresh air and greenery, took my camera with me, walked towards Queen's University and ended up at the botanic gardens.

If all you want is a walk around, this is a perfect place to breathe and relax right in the city. On a dry day, bring a book and/or a picnic, sit on the grass or on one of the benches or picnic tables and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

London City Guide - Buckingham Palace
I recently took a last minute decision to book a long summer weekend in London. The goal was to relax, take my mind off things for a bit and catch up with some lovely friends.
There was a long weekend here in Northern Ireland mid-July and I could have picked somewhere I had not visited before but I was in need of something familiar. Having been to London many times over the past few years, it was the perfect place to spend a mini break.

Ireland Travel Guide - The Cliffs of Moher
Wind, rain, snow, sunshine, roadtrip, beautiful landscapes and vegan food. This is how I can sum up this mini trip to the West of Ireland a month ago.
For the vegan food part, no, I have not changed my diet but traveling with guests who are vegan meant trying to find delicious things that would suit them.
As for the beautiful scenery, driving along the Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland will provide all this and more.

Visiting France: a few days in Nantes

Nantes City Guide
If you have been reading Crème de Citron for a while now, you probably already know that Nantes is one of my favourite cities to visit and has been mentioned a few times in various travel blog posts. And if you happen to follow me on Instagram, you also already know I spent two weeks in France last month, most of it in this beautiful city.

Because I lived in Nantes for 5 years as a student but also because I spent a lot of my school holidays with my cousins there as a young girl, I am very familiar with my surroundings, the streets and the various landmarks there.
However, now that I live abroad and do not get to see it evolving on a daily basis, I am constantly amazed by all the changes the city encounters.

Barcelona City Guide - Turron at La Campana
Last December, we started the winter season with a long weekend in Barcelona. I am aware this is already three whole months later but a little throwback is good now and then, especially if this means sharing different ideas of places to visit and where to eat from our last time there.
Since E. was attending a music festival with some of our friends just outside the city, I took the occasion to go and spend a long weekend with my brother who lives there.
