Dublin: The Honest 2 Goodness market

Food glorious food! This is probably what went on in my head on Saturday morning. A French stomach growling with excitement at the crack of dawn would do that to you. The prospect of spending a day discovering and eating food made me jump out of bed quite early.
And what a day I tell you! The Irish Food Bloggers Association and Brid Carter had organised a lovely day out at the Honest 2 Goodness Market for a group of food bloggers. We all started the day by meeting each other at the cafe located in the market. There, some tables had been arranged for us to sit, chat and eat some delicious products.
We were then guided in small groups through the market where we could speak with the owners of the different stalls about their products.
Dubliners should feel really lucky and proud that such a place exists. A place where people are very friendly and give you a great sense of community, a place where the food is really diverse and fresh, a place where you get to discover wonderful products.
The market is located in Glasnevin (Dublin, Ireland) in the Dublin Industrial Estate. I will happily jump on a bus and make my way back there again to buy some delicious food products even though I live nearly on the other side of the city. It is so worth it!

If the market itself is as beautiful as those photos, sold!

Lovely piece and amazing photos. H2G market is my local food market and I am proud to say I make lots of purchases there for the guesthouse I manage in D4. It's a great addition to weekend life in our area!

Thank you so much for your lovely comment Deirdre! It must be so great to have it as a local place to shop, and your guests are so lucky to get to eat such wonderful things then.

H2g is good, but I'm a dun laoghaire people's park farmers market fan myself.
